Building skills and confidence to deliver person-centred, values-driven care
This qualification equips learners already employed in the care sector with the knowledge, skills and confidence to provide high-quality, person-centred support. It is ideal for those new to the role, as well as existing staff who want to consolidate their skills. Learners will develop a broad understanding of adult social care and gain the ability to deliver safe, compassionate and effective care.
Learners will gain the skills and knowledge to function effectively as trained care workers, building confidence in delivering values-driven, person-centred support.
Skills and knowledge They will develop a strong understanding of safeguarding, duty of care, equality and inclusion, as well as essential communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
The course also provides practical learning around health and safety, nutrition, wellbeing and infection prevention, alongside awareness of dementia, mental health, learning disability and autism. Together, these elements prepare learners to progress onto higher-level training in health and social care while delivering safe, compassionate care in their current role.
Learners are supported throughout by a dedicated Vocational Trainer, who provides regular coaching, assessment and feedback.
