About this course
The Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship is for those people working and interacting with children in an early years setting.
These settings can include preschools, reception classes, nurseries and playgroups, home-based settings, hospitals and non-school environments.
This apprenticeship will support your employee to gain the expertise to plan and deliver activities, purposeful play opportunities and educational programmes. They’ll learn how to work in partnership with colleagues, parents and/or carers and other professionals to meet the individual needs of each child in line with your company policies and procedures.
A caring and professional approach will be at the heart of the personalised and inclusive service your employee will learn to provide.
Key areas studied include safeguarding and child protection, safety and hygiene, child development, activity planning and organising, communication and record-keeping.
This programme is suitable for people at the start of their early years career and supports progression to the level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship.
