We’re delighted to announce that NCFE’s Training Provider of the Month is Connect2Care, the leading specialist training and apprenticeship provider for the Health and Social Care sector.

All qualifications delivered by Connect2Care are tailored to the individual apprentice and their employer’s needs by providing a flexible approach to teaching, learning and assessment through the use of exciting new technology.

Lindsey Appleby-Flynn, Health and Social Care Lead at Connect2Care, commented: “Our settings are matched with Trainer Assessors and Quality Assurers that have the relevant competency and knowledge to achieve the best possible outcomes for our apprentices and employers, and most importantly to drive quality at service user level.”

Connect2Care is currently working on developing a new delivery model that incorporates blended learning and assessment. It is hoped that this model will fully engage employers and apprentices as well as fit around the requirements of the individual settings and circumstances.

In order to do this, Connect2Care’s delivery, quality assurance and development specialists work collaboratively to design interactive and diverse teaching and learning modules, which are aimed at developing apprentices to meet employer, sector and national expectations in their individual roles.

The development team is always looking for innovative ways of supporting programme delivery with minimal disruption to the apprentice and service users, such as through remote quality assurance support. This has been positively received by Trainers and Assessors, particularly those who require more specialist support.

In addition, a company-wide training programme has been rolled out to ensure that a consistent and quality programme is delivered across all qualifications. Connect2Care staff also participate in a development programme that is tailored to their learning needs.

After completing NCFE qualifications, Connect2Care hopes that apprentices will go on to be excellent role models to their peers, and support the Health and Social Care sector by passing on good practices and demonstrating personal attributes that are expected in their current and future roles.

Lindsey added: “We support our learners every step of the way, and hope that they maintain a drive for continuous learning and development, as well as succeeding in their careers.”

Connect2Care is passionate about providing high quality qualifications to its learners – something that is also incredibly important to NCFE. Lindsey said: “We have been very impressed with the levels of quality and service offered by NCFE, and the fact that both our organisations are so committed to quality means that we work very well together. Our main point of contact at NCFE has worked hard to understand the needs of our business and of our customers, and the support she offers us goes a long way to helping us to meet those needs.”
