It’s easier than you think to become an Adult Care Knowledge Tutor – no experience in training or teaching necessary.
We’re currently recruiting for two Knowledge Tutors to be based in any location across England!
About you
To apply for the role, you’ll need:
- At least four years of experience in an adult care setting, with a sound understanding of the Care Act and Care Quality Commission requirements.
- Minimum TAQA Qualification.
- Working towards AET.
- Confident speaking to a group of people via Zoom.
- A passion and drive to help train the future stars in the industry.
- Good maths and English skills – although further support will be provided if necessary.
- Good IT skills with a working level of knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Google Drive.
- Willing to undertake training and professional development within the role.
- Great organisational and self-management skills.

The Knowledge Tutor is responsible for the delivery of the knowledge element of our courses, ensuring we give our learners a robust and consistent blended learning experience. By effectively imparting the knowledge required, our Knowledge Tutors contribute to excellent apprenticeship delivery, promoting Connect2Care as an independent training provider of choice.
A typical day could include:
- Developing and delivering adult care interactive online workshops and face-to-face workshops to provide learners with the
knowledge content required to complete their course.
- Undertake preparation for workshops, compiling group profiles and checking for learning support requirements, adapting delivery to suit the size and needs of the group.
- Assess the impact of such training to ensure to support the continuous improvement of workshops.
- Undertake some resource development work in support of the Learning and Development Team.
- Embed and contextualise safeguarding, British values, equality, diversity and inclusion, English and maths within workshops.
- Follow Connect2Care’s online security processes and ensure the safeguarding of learners during workshops.
- Actively undertake reflective practice and manage own personal development to ensure knowledge of content is current.
- Ensure workshops are operated in line with GDPR regulations.
- Respond to and resolve queries from staff regarding learner attendance, certificate issue or guest bookings.
