The situation around COVID-19 is ever-changing, but one thing we want everyone we work with to be certain of is that at Connect2Care we have your interests at heart.

Having reviewed all the current information available, we’ve prepared contingency plans to minimise the disruption to our employer partners and apprentices, and will be adapting these as the situation changes.

Our primary aim is to continue to support our employer partners and their apprentices through this challenging time. Our approach will allow employers to concentrate on their business needs and concerns, by leaving the training to us. We are liaising directly with each employer in the first instance, to determine their individual circumstances, and are putting plans in place to accommodate so there is as little disruption to apprenticeships as possible.

Based on the most recent guidance, we’re unable to continue with onsite visits, workshops and testing. However, we’re fully equipped and have adapted our practices to continue delivering live, high-quality, face-to-face interactive training to apprentices on a one-to-one basis via an online platform. In addition, our virtual learning platform STAR contains valuable and interesting modules for apprentices to complete and continue their training during this time. Where apprentices aren’t able to participate in our academies, we’ll look to provide these as interactive online workshops.

We continue to discuss assessment requirements with the awarding organisations, Ofqual and end-point assessment organisations and will implement any necessary changes.

Our focus is not only to support our employer partners and apprentices, but to also support the sectors and industries we’re all so passionate about. We’ll continue to develop the skills that will be needed when the time comes to open the doors again.

Finally, we’ll continue to monitor and follow the communications from Government and implement further plans as the need arises, keeping everyone informed along the way. Please use this link to view updates on apprenticeship delivery rules during COVID-19.

If you need to contact us, we’re available between 8:30 am 5:30 pm, seven days a week, via 0800 954 2803 or email us at [email protected]. Alternatively, you can get in touch with your local C2C contact direct.
