After a thorough review, we’re pleased to announce that HIT Training Ltd, incorporating Connect2Care (C2C), has been accredited to the Matrix Quality Standard for information advice and guidance services.
The Matrix Standard, put in place by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, is a framework to assess an organisation’s information, advice and guidance services. This is to ensure companies, like HIT and C2C, that support individuals in their choice of career, learning, work and life goals, are of an acceptable standard.
Prior to receiving the accreditation, the Matrix Standard assessing body gained first-hand understanding of the services provided by HIT and C2C by speaking with a number of employers and learners. The process included assessing the information, advice and guidance provided to each group, the delivery and support given to learners and its processes for monitoring, reporting and improving the quality of HIT and C2C’s programme. Furthermore, the Matrix evaluated HIT and C2C’s overall strategy, management, culture and values, reviewing staff development and marketing.
As well as being awarded the Matrix Quality Standard, the report outlined some of the feedback received from HIT and C2C’s employers and learners:
“Employers spoke about the relationship with HIT and C2C being a true partnership, being collaborative and enjoyed having access to a key account manager and one provider that could meet all their training and development needs”.
“Learners confirmed that HIT and C2C’s induction process provided them with a clear indication of what to expect in relation to their journey and the support they could anticipate, for example, weekly contact, visits every four-to-six weeks and access to their Training Consultant via telephone and email etc.”
Positive feedback was also provided on HIT and C2C’s strategy, management and staff development. Highlights include:
“Clear direction is provided by the senior leadership team as staff consistently spoke of learners being at the heart of the service delivery and the focus on quality as opposed to quantity”.
“HIT and C2C is seen as a ‘family with a heart’, whereby staff feel valued and appreciated for their contribution.”
Discussing the high praise received, Connect2Care Managing Director, Jill Whittaker, said:
“We’re extremely proud of the programme we have developed. We’ve always aimed to instil our values into everything we do and everyone we work with and it’s great to see that has been apparent throughout the assessment. Though we were confident of receiving the accreditation, to see such high praise at all levels was astounding and is a real credit to the whole HIT and C2C family – all our learners, employers and employees.”
