About this course

What to expect...

Looking for a programme that goes beyond just cooking? Our Early Years Chef Apprenticeship, the only one of its kind in the UK, has been expertly crafted in collaboration with Louise Mercieca, a Nutritional Therapist, award-winning author, and early years nutrition specialist.

With years of experience consulting for nurseries and catering providers, Louise ensures that our apprenticeship delivers not only top-tier culinary training but also a deep understanding of how food influences child development, both physically and mentally. Through this programme, you’ll master the skills to create nutritious, balanced meals tailored specifically for children aged 0-5, learning everything from kitchen management to creative menu planning.

This unique apprenticeship empowers you to become a key player in shaping the health of the next generation, with Louise’s expertise making nutrition education engaging, accessible and impactful. Start your journey today to become a skilled chef who truly makes a difference in children’s lives!

Functional Skills: If an apprentice is aged 16-18 and has not previously achieved the required level of English and maths, they will need to complete Functional Skills as part of their apprenticeship programme.

While Functional Skills are no longer mandatory for adult apprentices (19+), literacy and numeracy skills remain essential for success.

For those without prior English and Maths qualifications, we recommend entry level 3 in maths and entry level 3 in English to support career growth and workplace efficiency.

Our tailored support ensures these skills are seamlessly integrated into the apprenticeship journey, helping every apprentice develop these vital skills.
