This course explores the crucial elements of the different types of dementia, giving learners the knowledge to help them to care for someone with dementia and provide an understanding of their needs and behaviour.
Throughout this course, learners will discover how to implement a person-centred approach to the care and support of individuals with dementia, including an understanding of how to implement this in the administration of medication to individuals with dementia.
They’ll understand the factors that can influence communication and interaction with individuals who have dementia and the benefits of engaging in activities in social care.
