About this course
This online course provides delegates with the solid foundations to limit, control and prevent the spread of infection in the workplace.
Delegates will gain the knowledge to confidently follow infection prevention and control principles within the workplace, including how to keep themselves, the working environment and others safe.
Attendees will gain confidence in following and implementing their organisation’s infection control procedures, to limit the risk of infection and control the spread of possible pathogens.
Learners will study the different types of pathogens, including an overview of how they start and spread (including the COVID-19 virus). They’ll also look at how to recognise the chain of infection and how to break it, including practical workplace changes to prevent the spread of infection.
The course will support learners to confidently communicate with those who use or access the service about the precautionary measures being taken to keep them safe from infection.
This online course is suitable for employees of all levels working within a healthcare setting.
The assessment for this course will be completed remotely.
