facilities services intermediate apprenticeship

This 12-month Apprenticeship consists of: 

  • Level 2 Certificate in Facilities Services Principles
  • NVQ Level 2 Certificate in Facilities Services 
  • Functional Skills Maths (Level 1) 
  • Functional Skills English (Level 1)
  • Employment Rights and Responsibilities
  • Personal Learning and Thinking Skills

This is a professional qualification for all staff that work in the facilities arena; 

within the care sector this could be a role such as Housekeeper, Cleaner or Kitchen Assistnat. 

The NVQ units cover topics ranging from working with customers and co-ordination of events to carrying out maintenance and minor repairs and cleaning in specialised areas.

This qualification allows you to learn, develop and practise the skills required for employment and/or career progression in the hospitality and facilities sector. 

This qualification is suitable for those already in employment as well as those starting out. You could progress from this qualification to the Team Leading Apprenticeship, Hospitality Supervision and Leadership or Cleaning Supervision Diploma if you get promoted to a supervisory role.

Entry requirements

To start an apprenticeship with Connect2Care you have to be aged 16 years or over and must be working in the health and social care sector for at least 30 hours a week. You also need to be a resident in England and not taking part in full-time education.
