About this course
The Early Years Educator apprenticeship is for employee's whose role is to ensure that young children learn and develop well.
This apprenticeship covers a variety of early years settings, including preschools, reception classes, nurseries and playgroups, home-based settings, hospitals and non-school environments.
The Early Years Educator apprenticeship will build your employee’s expertise to plan and supervise child-initiated and adult-led educational activities which are based around the needs and interests of each individual child.
They’ll learn to support children to develop numeracy and language skills through games and play. The apprentice will also explore how to work in partnership with colleagues, parents and/or carers and other professionals to deliver care and learning in line with your company policies and procedures.
Key areas studied include learning and thinking strategies, safeguarding and child protection, first aid, safety and hygiene, child development, activity planning and organising, communication and record-keeping.
This programme is suitable for people progressing in their early years career; with additional experience, they can become a manager in an early years setting.
